One of the most romantic destinations in Cyprus, the Famagusta region is famous for its golden beaches with azure waters and peaceful Mediterranean lifestyle. This paradisiacal place is being chosen as a summer home and more recently as a permanent residence, thanks to new opportunities and new wave technological projects.


The "Golden" area of the European part of the region comprises three major settlements - Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni. The first two are considered tourist destinations, while in the latter the infrastructure is mainly designed for the local population, which prefers a calm and measured rhythm. It should be noted that we do not include projects in the occupied lands of the TRNC, as the purchase of property in Northern Cyprus is still considered a very risky venture. Transport accessibility

Given the high quality of the roads connecting Famagusta with the main financial centres of Limassol and Nicosia, as well as with the main "air gate of Cyprus" - Larnaca Airport, the distances no longer seem so insurmountable. On the contrary, even a hundred kilometres in good weather is a tremendous pleasure! Especially on the stretches along the sea.

You can't count on public transport - the buses run at long intervals - so the issue is solved by having a private car.

Thus, the residents of Famagusta have access to the cultural life of the whole island. At the same time, the region has its own museums, libraries, small concert venues, and from time to time traditional festivals are held. The sweetest and most mind-blowing is the spring strawberry festival in the village of Derenia.


Education in Famagusta

As far as education in Famagusta is concerned, it is all about transport accessibility. Famagusta has the only private English school Xenion in Paralimni and several Greek state schools. For several years now, a special school bus has been running to the American Academy Larnaca, which can also drop you off at Med High Larnaca, located in the centre of Larnaca.
