A good day starts with a delicious and hearty breakfast - everyone knows that!
Limassol has a lot of cozy and stylish establishments. However, not every of them can boast a variety of morning dishes. Therefore, for the sake of a decent cheesecake or avocado toast, some locals are ready to get up bright and early and go to the other side of the city.
It's not uncommon to find old-timers and expats chatting about distracting topics, holding business meetings, and making important acquaintances over breakfast. There's nothing wrong with having a date in the first half of the day. On the contrary, in the light of day to assess their visave Cypriot beauties can be more sober. Also on weekends, it's great to meet friends for breakfast: it's easier to book a table than in the evening, and the service is usually faster.
I have prepared a list of places in Limassol where you can start your day deliciously and pleasantly. And for convenience, I marked all the listed cafes on the map. Keep them!
NOMAD Bread & Coffee
A very popular breakfast establishment in Limassol. You can find several NOMAD Bread & Coffee in the city, which are scattered in different neighborhoods. Here they make the best coffee in the city with a velvety rich aftertaste. Prices for it, as in other local coffee shops, but the quality of the product is consistently pleasing in contrast to chain stores. What is important, the staff is friendly and polite. Service in NOMAD Bread & Coffee is very fast, you don't have to wait long.
This is a great place to have a cup of coffee or a snack. And there is plenty to snack on here too. My favorites: pastrami sandwich, croissant with omelet, open sandwich with scramble, cauliflower salad. If you like sweets, you should try the cheesecake or danish with berries and custard. The main disadvantage of the institution, especially for thin people, is that it has a lot of fresh pastries and buns! And all of them are incredibly delicious. In general, goodbye to your waistline!
The Cookhouse
Be prepared for the line to start outside and the seating to be very tight. But don't be sad if all the tables are occupied: just wait for 5-10 minutes and you will be seated. The only question is how comfortable it is. Once I had to sit at the counter practically on the street, very close to a strange guy, and opposite me in half a meter a girl was smoking a cigarette. In general, this cafe has no problems with clients.
Separately I want to note the interior in The Cookhouse - it makes my eyes happy. It is a very beautiful cafe: a lot of fresh flowers, from monstera to small cacti, natural materials in the interior - wood, and marble, from which the tables are made and many other little things. Waiters here are like a big and friendly family, they laugh, and talk among themselves, not forgetting about the visitors. Everything is very easy, simple and family-friendly, so you can't help but wonder: is it the people or the number of sunny days in Cyprus that keep a smile on your face 24/7?
The menu at The Cookhouse has dishes to suit all tastes, from a green smoothie with avocado, spinach, ginger, and mango, through quinoa salad to toast and various croissants. I tried a breakfast of poached eggs. On a separate note, I was asked about the degree of cooked yolks. This is the first time I've met such a thing not only in Limassol, but in Cyprus in general. Be sure to try the coffee at The Cookhouse - it is excellent. Ice matcha on almond milk is not bad either. But the dessert that impressed me the most was the almond cake with blueberries. Not over-sweetened, with a crispy shortbread crust, drizzled with coconut cream, mmm... I'd come back for more!
INEX-Cafe
Coffee house for those who missed Moscow "Salute". The institution is oriented to pedal enthusiasts, so most of the clients are sportsmen in tight suits. The cafe is part of a large community, which positions itself as a family INEX. But the average passerby is always welcome here, too.
If you are not a friend of the car, but prefer a two-wheeled friend, it can easily be parked in the cafe on a special stand. Then have a cup of coffee, eat some delicious food and look at the goods for cyclists. And if you like something, even buy it.
I must say that the coffee in the cafe is quite decent, and the food is quite edible. Adherents of proper nutrition will definitely like it here. My personal recommendations: buckwheat with mushrooms and parmesan, toast with salmon and freshly squeezed juice. And don't pass by desserts, especially in INEX-Café they are as healthy as possible.
Milkbar
The facility is located in the business center of the city. At first sight Milkbar attracts with its pleasant design in the style of the 60s, neon logo with a plump bottle of milk and the atmosphere created by a slightly partying but relaxed audience, which almost always provides the restaurant with 90% turnout.
Weekend brunches here are often chosen with kids, or old friends, for breakfast. The small but elaborate and quite varied menu offers eggs Benedict in different variations, scrambled eggs, hot and thick country breakfast in a skillet (with potatoes, mushrooms, bacon, eggs and peppers), spicy shakshuka, bagels with salmon as breakfast or brunch.
The best-supporting role goes to extra-large salads (goat cheese, quinoa, arugula, pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, chicken - predictable but worthy ingredients). Those who prefer an all-inclusive experience will always find a lighter version of the English and Cypriot breakfasts, as well as quality pastries. All in all, my sincere recommendation!
Columbia Pier
t's hard to avoid this cafe. Especially since it is located on the waterfront in full view of everyone. It is an ideal place for aesthetes. Here you can have breakfast in a beautiful setting, next to the Enaerios Pier, which offers stunning views of the surrounding area. Columbia Pier offers a choice of Belgian, Greek and English cuisine, from egg variations to pancakes and syrupy pancakes.
The facility has not forgotten about fans of healthy food. For them, the menu includes oatmeal, which is a favorite of everyone, and several types of delicious bowls.
I would say that Columbia Pier is not just a cafe. It's an unforgettable experience! The combination of stunning views, delicious food and quality service will give you the most positive breakfast experience. If you like good coffee and beautiful views, you should definitely stop by during the morning hours, especially since no reservations are required.
