It makes sense that there must be quite a few ports on the island. And all of them are beautiful, well-organized and very interesting. We offer you a mini-text tour of the beautiful ports of Cyprus so that you can make up your mind, get inspired and then see them with your own eyes when visiting Cyprus.
The three ports of Limassol
There are two ports in Limassol about 3km apart: the Old Port (it's called that) and the New Port. Close to the Old Port is the so-called Marina. Each of the points deserves special attention and a separate story.
Old Port
As you can easily guess from the name, this is the oldest port complex in the city. It has been operating here since the 19th century and was built when Cyprus belonged to the British Empire (who does not remember, the island was a British colony for about 50 years). Nevertheless, its appearance was noticeably changed, and what you see now, refers to about 60 years of the last century. That is, the Old Port looks quite modern.
Besides, it continues to be improved and exploited: new buildings and pavilions are erected, statues are installed (for example, the famous in Limassol mermaid "settled" here quite recently) and everything that was done before is kept clean and in order.
There is a lovely promenade with stores and food establishments. On one side is the Molos promenade, on the other side is the new fashionable Marina.

Limassol Marina
This is a new and, in fact, luxurious place in the city. All new buildings here have been erected for about the last 5-7 years, and there are few objects for purchase. Nevertheless, you can still find great options. For example, a 2-bedroom apartment in a closed complex with a swimming pool or luxury apartments for 3 bedrooms in the complex Limassol Marina on an artificial island with stunning views of the sea and harbor. You can also find a separate villa with its own marina.
In addition to luxury real estate, Limassol Marina is famous for its developed infrastructure for recreation - cafes and restaurants, stores, modern promenade and an excellent beach, which is open to all. Everything necessary for the guests arriving on private yachts (and not only them) to have a good time.
By the way, it is in the Marina where the parking lot for private yachts is located.

New Port
This is the largest port in Cyprus today. Every day it receives a huge number of different vessels - both cargo and cruise ships. The waterborne passenger traffic is approximately 85% of the total for Cyprus! There is also a major international terminal here, and tourists probably find it easiest to get to Cyprus by sea through the port of Limassol.
The New Port, of course, does not look as "promenade" as the previous two, but there are also many interesting establishments and places to explore the city. In addition, nearby is the beach Ladis Mile - the longest on the island, so come to the New Port as a starting point for a long walk is definitely worth it.

St. Raphael Marina
Territorially, too, belongs to the Limassol area and is located in Parekklisha and Agios Tikhonas. You can safely put this small marina down as one of the prettiest in Cyprus - and not just because it's small. It has a number of undeniable advantages.
The first is the rather quiet location. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a model of relaxation and Mediterranean tranquility. There are a lot of vacationers, especially in the summer season, but you will not see loud noise or the frenetic pace of life. After all, the suburbs are suburbs.
At the same time, the infrastructure - both for recreation and for life - is very well developed. Parekklisia is considered an elite neighborhood in many parts, so there are no problems in terms of stores, restaurants, sports facilities (including water sports), clinics and private schools. From here leads a beautiful highway towards Limassol, and you can get to the center in about 15 minutes.
Here is also a small but very picturesque harbor for yachts up to 30 m long for 237 places - and two beautiful sandy beaches. One of them is Blue Flag and ideal for all kinds of beach relaxation.
Not far from the St. Raphael Marina there are a lot of excellent real estate options, mainly - elite. The Ararat Grand Residences complex with its own piazza and exit to the overpass deserves special attention. For sale are apartments with 3 and 4 bedrooms, altouugh the five-level penthouse with 8 bedrooms was bought recently. It is also possible to find a detached villa on the beachfront with sea views.

Larnaca Marina
Formerly a large retail outlet, it is now focused on receiving private yachts sailing the Mediterranean. The harbor has a capacity of 450 seats and is equipped with all the necessary facilities to cater for the vessels. Until recently, Larnaca Marina was just a part of the waterfront, but now it has been expanded and beautified. The first luxury high-rises have appeared here, and the marina itself is preparing to receive more ships.
At the same time, real estate prices are very moderate. So, luxury new building Wave Tower offers to buy apartments from 425 thousand euros. You can find options and cheaper. For example, a penthouse overlooking the harbor for 3 bedrooms will cost only 300 thousand euros. This amount allows you to get a permanent residence permit in Cyprus on an accelerated program.
But, if you are considering Larnaca only as a place of vacation - do not focus on real estate. There is a lot to see here! On one side of the Larnaca marina is the famous Finikoudes promenade, and along it runs the sandy beach of the same name. On the other side, if you walk from the sea, you can reach the historical center of the city in a few minutes.
The marina itself, although small, deserves attention. It looks very beautiful, especially the contrast between the white yachts and the blue sea. It's just beautiful.

Ayia Napa Marina
An unfinished but already very significant project. Includes a whole resort complex of two high-rise towers (East and West), villas, a huge yacht harbor with yacht club, promenade and developed infrastructure for recreation. These are stores, bars, restaurants, gyms, spa and fitness centers, lounge areas, walking locations, swimming pools, beach - and much, much more.
Apartments and villas at Ayia Napa Marina are still available. They have risen in value since the sale started, but prices are still reasonable. After the full commissioning of the project real estate here will definitely rise in price by at least 10-15%.
It should be noted that Ayia Napa in general shows good dynamics of development. Here you can spend well as a quiet and party vacation. Nearby is the picturesque cape Kavo Greco, and the airport of Larnaca can be reached in 40-50 minutes.
Paralimni Marina
Another unfinished project under active construction. Paralimni Marina has a 300 berth yacht park with a yacht club, apartments (including penthouses) and villas. The coastal park and promenade will be neighboring with boutiques, restaurants, fitness rooms and other facilities for comfortable living and recreation.
In Paralimni Marina the main emphasis has been placed on greenery and a comfortable environment for walking, so even just to visit here - very interesting. A beautiful beach with clear water and sandy coastline will complement your leisure time. By the way: Paralimni is considered a great place for family vacations.
And what about Paphos?
In Paphos there is no marina as such - its "role" is performed by the ancient port, on the territory of which is an ancient castle and a whole archaeological park of excavations. A little further away is the Faros lighthouse. The authorities of Paphos are already engaged in the fact that in the city (or rather, in the suburbs) appeared its own marina: the project has received the green light from the authorities.
Paphos Marina
Pretty soon between Peyia and Kissonerga will grow a large yacht harbor, surrounded by beautiful high-rise buildings and villas. It is expected that real estate here will be inferior in price to Limassol, but will be more expensive than in Larnaca. Also the area will be landscaped and equipped with infrastructure for a full-fledged vacation.

Latchi Harbor
Located quite far from Paphos - in the northwest of the area, in the fishing village of Latchi. Therefore, here you can find both cute small yachts and fishing boats of all sizes and colors.
The beauty of Latchi is its quiet and measured atmosphere, which will appeal to those vacationers who are tired of the hustle and bustle. You can also taste delicious fresh fish here - or go sea fishing yourself. There is also the protected Akamas Peninsula nearby, which is a pleasure to walk around.
