Motorcycle travel is inspiring because of its freedom, intense sensations, and unique experiences. It is the perfect way to break free from routine and discover natural beauty that is often inaccessible on foot.
Cyprus is an ideal destination for covering dozens or even hundreds of kilometers on an “iron beast” while enjoying the fresh wind on your face. The weather, landscapes, scenic locations, and unusual routes offer unforgettable experiences, even if you are not a professional rider.
Tip! An enduro motorcycle is designed for extreme riding across rough terrain—essentially off-road. Easy trails are accessible even to beginners, including children.
Why Is Cyprus the Perfect Destination for Enduro and Motocross?
Surrounded by the endless sea, Cyprus may seem like a place intended solely for water sports. Fortunately, that is not the case. The island offers a variety of popular enduro trails for everyone who already loves—or is about to fall in love with—this exciting sport.
Why choose Cyprus?
- Year-round riding season. Cyprus enjoys little rainfall and plenty (a lot!) of sunshine. This means you can ride in any month of the year. However, the best trails reveal their full beauty during the shoulder seasons, when there are fewer visitors and the weather is free from extreme heat or strong winds.
- Spectacular and diverse terrain. Cyprus may be small, but it is incredibly varied. Forested mountains, rocky hills, and stunning coastlines create a wide range of riding experiences, with every region offering something unique.
- Trails for beginners and professionals alike. Several clubs operate on the island, and some specialize in training people with absolutely no riding experience but a strong desire to learn. Surprisingly, enduro riding is available even to children, provided they ride under the supervision of a qualified instructor.
- A large riding community. Cyprus is well suited to two-wheeled transport, so motorcycle enthusiasts are plentiful. Motocross events—professional races held on closed circuits—are quite popular. Even if you are not competing, they are exciting to watch as a spectator.
- Easy enduro bike rentals. You can rent a motorcycle from one of the many companies offering two-wheeled vehicles, typically for around €65–70 per day. Alternatively, you can book a session with a specialized club, where all the necessary gear is provided and guides will take you on the best enduro routes according to your skill level.
- Convenient access to enduro routes. Thanks to the island’s compact size, distances between towns, attractions, and riding trails are relatively short. Within the same district, it usually takes just 15–20 minutes to reach a starting point, while more remote destinations are generally within an hour’s drive.
Exploring exciting routes on a motorcycle offers a unique type of enjoyment that cannot be compared to hiking. In a single trip, you can discover far more landscapes and attractions than during an ordinary walk. That is why enduro riding is worth trying for anyone who has ever considered riding a motorcycle.

The Most Exciting Enduro Locations in Cyprus
It is difficult to describe just how beautiful Cyprus is throughout the year—you really have to see it for yourself. In spring, you can admire blooming fields and trees (including almond blossoms); in summer, ride alongside refreshing rivers or discover secluded beaches; in autumn, enjoy the island’s best trails in perfect weather; and in winter, venture into hidden corners and explore less-visited locations at a relaxed pace. Enduro riding truly reveals a different side of Cyprus!
Tip! You can explore popular trails on your own, but if you are a beginner—or, on the contrary, are searching for the most unique and exciting enduro routes—it is worth joining an organized tour.
Kornos – Alethriko, Larnaca
This route is suitable for riders with an intermediate level of experience; beginners may find it quite challenging. The trail is 32 km long, with a maximum elevation gain of 460 m. Along the way, you can visit two churches and stop several times to admire the beautiful surrounding scenery.

Foinikaria – Neapolis (Limassol)
An incredibly scenic route that leads from the foothills directly into the city. It is suitable for beginners—not complete novices, but riders who already have a few enduro trips under their belt. The journey begins directly from Limassol and climbs into the mountains via Agios Tychonas, Choirokoitia, and Kofinou. Overnight stays are possible in Kalopanayiotis, Kalo Chorio, or further on in Kakopetria. The route covers 333 km, with a maximum elevation gain of 1,140 m, while the total cumulative ascent is roughly twice that amount.

Companies Offering Enduro Tours
If independent trips are not an option—or if you simply do not want the hassle of organizing them yourself—you can always turn to professionals. The same applies to those who want to experience enduro riding for the first time. Cyprus is home to plenty of enthusiasts who have been involved in the sport for years and genuinely love what they do.

Parekklisia is famous for its excellent terrain, and Exclaim Enduro Tours makes full use of it. Their specialty is training beginners while quickly getting them onto exciting rides that provide real off-road experience. They also offer tours for riders who are already comfortable on an enduro bike and are ready for full-day adventures. Experienced riders are not forgotten either, with dedicated advanced rides organized in the Parekklisia and Kakopetria areas.
RideXtreme Cyprus, Paphos
This company is geared more toward experienced enduro riders. It specializes in organizing one-day and multi-day tours, as well as night rides for those seeking an extra dose of adrenaline. The primary riding areas include the Akamas Peninsula and the mountainous regions of Paphos.
Tip! Book lessons and tour participation well in advance.
Before making a reservation, it is important to check exactly what is included in the price of the lesson or tour: riding gear, fuel, water and meals, instructor services, and transportation to the starting point. Some companies provide everything as part of the package, while others charge separately for additional services.
It is also worth noting that most lessons and tours are designed for people who already have at least some experience riding a motorcycle or similar motorized two-wheeled vehicle. Be sure to clarify this in advance, as complete beginners may not always be accepted.

In Cyprus, both enduro riding and motocross are among the best options for an exciting and adrenaline-filled adventure. A ride across rugged terrain will wake you up faster than any Cypriot frappé. And if you would rather avoid the organizational side of things, it is easy to leave everything to the professionals: pay for a tour, show up, and enjoy an unforgettable journey through some of the most beautiful locations on the island.
