Spring, especially its second half, is a season rich in festivals. Cyprus literally offers residents and visitors every week the chance to immerse themselves in the authentic atmosphere of celebrations dedicated to nature, harvest, and culture (including international culture).
Cyprus Film Days International Festival: April 17–25
Cyprus Film Days will take place for the 24th time in two cinemas in Limassol: Rialto and Zena Palace. Screenings will be held in an interactive format, where viewers can also take part in the “performance.”
In addition to films, the program includes lectures, workshops, and opportunities to meet talented emerging directors. Evening networking events are also planned. The full program and additional information can be found on the official website of the festival.

Artichoke Festival in Kiti: April 26
It’s amazing what Cypriot festivals are dedicated to — for example, the Artichoke Festival will be held for the seventh time! It’s a great occasion for celebration, featuring traditional music, local dishes, and wine tastings.

Femme Fest: April 26
A more serious festival dedicated to gender equality, women’s rights, and freedoms worldwide. This is the fifth edition, and for the first time it will take place across five cities: Nicosia, Paphos, Limassol, Larnaca, and Ayia Napa.
The program includes discussions, empowerment workshops, and anti-stereotype initiatives, along with artistic performances in music, theatre, and visual arts. More information is available on the official website.

Donkey Festival at Golden Donkeys Farm (Skarinou): May 1
Golden Donkeys celebrates its anniversary in a truly Cypriot way — by hosting a festival! Visitors can meet and interact with donkeys and other farm animals.
Participation is free. Don’t forget to bring ribbons and decorations — the highlight is a contest for the best-dressed donkey! Official website.

Fish Festival in Latchi (Paphos): May 2
A paradise for fishing enthusiasts and seafood lovers. Fishermen sell their catch and share tips, while chefs offer delicious dishes for visitors.

Fantasia Festival (Fairy Festival) at Cyherbia Botanical Park (Avgorou): May 3
Cyherbia is a unique botanical park with rare medicinal and decorative plants. During the festival, visitors can enjoy:
- storytelling sessions
- medieval sword fighting
- workshops (crafts, archery, talismans)
- meditation
- shamanic dances
- costume contests
- games and activities
Tickets should be purchased in advance on the Cyherbia website. Time: 09:00–18:00.

Anthestiria (Flower Festival): May 6
One of the most colorful and joyful festivals in Cyprus. Flowers decorate everything, and their fragrance fills the air. Flower parades and fairs will take place in Limassol, Paphos, and Larnaca.

Rose Festival in Agros: May 9–10 and 16–17
One of the most famous and fragrant festivals in Cyprus, lasting two weekends. Visitors can enjoy products such as:
- chocolate and loukoumi
- essential oils
- rose water
- cosmetics
- jam
- liqueur
Visitors can also tour rose factories and taste local treats.

Vima Art Fair in Limassol: May 15–17
An art fair featuring exhibitions, film screenings, performances, and lectures. This year’s theme is “The Waves Crashing,” symbolizing creativity as a wave.

Seaside Street Food Festival in Paphos: May 15–17
A popular street food festival featuring seafood. Held at the medieval Paphos Castle, it attracts large crowds of food lovers.

Kataklysmos Festival: May 30 – June 1
Cypriots celebrate the “flood” festival with water games and festivities marking the start of the summer season.
Note!Kataklysmos coincides with Pentecost (Holy Spirit Day).
Expect to get wet — water splashing is part of the fun across all cities!
