The Cypriot Cabinet met on Wednesday 30th October and decided to extend the deadline for filing tax returns for 2023 until the end of November.
This was announced by the tax department after the meeting.
The department said the decision was due to the recent cyber-attacks, which led to disruptions in the work of Taxisnet. As a result, Cypriot residents were unable to submit tax documents for some time. Following this, the Tax Authority announced the postponement of the filing deadlines.

You can now declare your income until 30 November 2024.
Remember that all persons whose income (before tax) exceeds the amount of 19.5 thousand euros are obliged to do so. In addition, the declaration must be filled in by individuals whose income exceeds 19.5 thousand euros from rental property, royalties, pensions, dividends, interest and securities. It should be noted that if a tax resident of Cyprus whose income exceeds 19.5 thousand euros per year does not submit a tax return on time, he will be fined 100 euros plus 5% of the amount of tax due for the year.
It is only possible to declare income electronically. To do this, you must first register at the tax office in your place of residence (personal attendance is required), where the official responsible will issue a Tax Identification Code (TIC) consisting of eight digits and a Latin letter (e.g. 9999999999X).
The applicant will be given a unique 17-digit registration number. You will then need to create an account on the TaxisNet portal and complete the declaration. Instructions on how to register on the TaxisNet portal in English (in PDF format).
