Hotels in Cyprus have come into the spotlight of the global tourism industry. Three properties were included in the list of the best according to the prestigious British Airways Holidays Customer Excellence Awards 2025, with one of them receiving the maximum rating—an achievement reached by only a limited number of hotels worldwide each year.
Recognition based on guest reviews
The awards, organized by British Airways Holidays in partnership with the Feefo platform, have been identifying the best hotels for ten consecutive years based on real guest experiences. In 2025, more than 100,000 travelers took part in the evaluation, leaving independent reviews after their stays.
Hotels were assessed based on key criteria, including service quality, cleanliness, sleep comfort, and location convenience. Nearly a thousand hotels from around the world were included in the ranking, making it a significant achievement for any destination to be featured.
Which Cyprus hotels made the prestigious list
Among the top performers were two luxury hotels from the Muskita Hotels group — Four Seasons Hotel Limassol and Amathus Beach Hotel Limassol. The former received a perfect score of 5 out of 5, placing it among the top 30 hotels in the world. The latter also achieved an almost perfect rating of 4.9 out of 5, confirming its high standard of service.
Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort, located in the Peyia area of Paphos, also received the award. It earned an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5, with experts highlighting its high service standards, well-developed infrastructure, and overall quality of stay.

Why Cyprus is strengthening its tourism position
Experts note that the success of Cypriot hotels is linked to increasing attention to service quality and a personalized approach to guests. The island is actively developing its premium tourism segment, offering modern resorts, a high level of safety, and comfortable conditions for year-round holidays.
Another factor is the steady growth in tourist arrivals. According to recent data, Cyprus continues to attract travelers from Europe and the Middle East, while demand for high-quality hotels remains strong even outside the peak season.
Industry perspective
Representatives of the tourism sector emphasize that such awards are especially valuable because they are based on real guest feedback. This not only increases trust in the hotels but also strengthens Cyprus’s image as one of the leading holiday destinations in the Mediterranean.
The success of Cypriot hotels on the international stage confirms that the island can compete with the world’s best resorts, offering a high level of service and a unique experience for visitors.
