There is not only the public (Greek) education system in Cyprus. Parents can also choose private English schools. Their educational program not only provides a certain level of language proficiency close to native, but also opens the door to British and international universities.
The article gathers private English schools in Cyprus with descriptions, features, annual tuition fees, and contacts. Be attentive: reviews for each of the schools are mostly positive, but there are also parents who preferred to transfer their child from one institution to another.
Heritage Private School
One of the internationally recognized schools that everyone in Cyprus has heard of. It is distinguished by the high quality of teaching, attentive treatment of students and their parents. The main educational program is Cambridge; under it, children study mathematics and exact sciences, languages (Greek, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew), advanced English, computer science (programming, robotics), design and technology, drawing, history, music, ecology, psychology, social sciences, English literature, and geography.
Upon completing the upper Secondary grades, students take an exam, based on the results of which they receive A-Level certificates. This allows them to enroll in many international universities around the world.

The English School
Not the largest private school in Cyprus, but what a rich history it has! Founded in 1900, it still operates today, admitting students of different nationalities and religions.
The curriculum consists of several languages (Greek, Turkish, and English are compulsory), creative disciplines, natural sciences, geography, history, economics, and biology. Upon completion of the middle course, students take the IGCSE exam; in the final grades, the A-Level program can be studied. The school also issues the apolytirion.
Note! Apolytirion is the state-standard school leaving certificate in Cyprus (Greek system).

Reviews: high level of English, low tuition fee, cozy atmosphere, small classes

PASCAL English School
A “full-cycle” education: from kindergarten to graduation class. One of the few educational institutions in Cyprus that offers not only the standard format, but also boarding (that is, with accommodation). The extended curriculum is complemented by its own observatories: space is very much loved and appreciated at PASCAL.
During the course of study, a child can receive an IGCSE certificate, GCE A-Level, and even IB; the Greek apolytirion is also issued.
Location: Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol
Education levels: kindergarten, primary school, secondary school
Cost per year: the cost differs each year, there is no price list on the website, so current prices need to be clarified in the admissions office; boarding costs 4 times more than regular education
Reviews: excellent level of English, strong “technical” sciences, in recent years some parents prefer to transfer their children to other schools because they are dissatisfied with the level of service

Saint Mary's School
A small private school with two educational tracks: Greek with an expanded program and English. Small classes and low tuition make demand for education here very high: the waiting list can be so long that enrollment needs to be done several years in advance.
Location: Limassol
Education levels: kindergarten, primary school, secondary school up to Year 7 (Gymnasium)
Cost per year: around €3000
Reviews: teachers are mostly local, which may affect the child's level of mastery of foreign languages

Foley’s School
This private school is among the top 3 in Cyprus. Many parents literally dream of sending their child there, despite the rather high tuition fee. Foley’s offers not only additional education (art and sports schools), but also clubs that a child can join to develop their activist abilities.
The emphasis is on general development and the ability to study further. The curriculum follows Cambridge and Edexcel standards; graduates receive IGCSE, GCE A-Level, and apolytirion certificates.

TLC Private School
The private school emphasizes the sports, social, and ethical development of children of all ages. It successfully withstands competition and offers non-standard school subjects: for example, creativity lessons, an expanded physical education program, and psychology. Children study under the English curriculum and upon graduation receive iGCSE and GCSE certificates.

Reviews: teachers are native speakers, a well-thought-out educational program with freedom for children’s creativity and self-expression

Logos School
Logos is famous for its intimate atmosphere and individual approach to each student. The school positions itself not only as an educational institution, but also as a spiritual one, where children (even those who moved to Cyprus) will feel as comfortable as possible. Unusually, the curriculum includes lessons on the “Word of God.” The school has quite a long waiting list, so enrollment must be done in advance (at least 3–4 years ahead).
Location: Limassol
Education levels: preparatory class (pre-primary), primary school, secondary school
Cost per year: increases significantly from year to year: for 2026, the preparatory class costs from €3500, junior school class €5400–8000 (the older the class, the higher the fee), secondary school class €6900–8000
Reviews: teachers are native speakers, the atmosphere is not too religious, but Christian ethics and certain rules of behavior are felt

American Academy
Private schools that focus on versatility: they include Greek, English, and American educational programs to choose from. It should be understood that the Limassol and Nicosia “Academies” are two completely different institutions. In Limassol, they raise children with ambition and freedom of expression; in Nicosia, they are oriented toward spiritual and Christian values. There is boarding in Limassol.

Silverline Private School
A not very large private school in Cyprus that, thanks to its intimate atmosphere, preserves coziness and high educational standards. The school’s mission is defined as “unlocking the personal potential of every child,” and the teachers handle this quite well. It is noticeable that children feel relaxed and acquire in class not only knowledge, but also strong personal qualities.
Location: Limassol

Cost per year: not specified, it is necessary to clarify with the school administration
Reviews: the primary school is especially praised; apparently, children adapt well precisely at this stage

Island Private School
A new school in Cyprus — and it has already proven itself from the best side. The curriculum includes not only standard subjects and advanced English, but also ecology and modern computer technologies, which are highly relevant today. Children master advanced things even before entering university!
The combination of International Baccalaureate (IB), Waldorf, and Montessori guarantees results: upon graduation, the child will not simply be educated, but in demand as a future specialist in any field. An abundance of clubs makes it possible to choose a hobby and develop in it no less than in studies.
Location: Limassol
Education levels: kindergarten, primary school, secondary school
Cost per year: kindergarten €7700 + additional fees, meals, and transport, IB program from age three €9650–22550 + additional fees; there is a funding program for education in the senior classes for especially gifted students

Trinity Private School
Another new school that gives children high educational standards taking modern reality into account. Opened in 2023, it can already boast a queue of parents wishing to enroll their children there. You can choose the Cambridge or international educational program, after which many universities around the world will welcome the former school student with open arms.
Location: Limassol
Education levels: primary school, secondary school
Cost per year: not published openly, on average — €6000–12000
Reviews: modern technologies, an individual approach to each child due to the small number of children in classes

Med High Private English School
Larnaca cannot boast a large number of private English schools, but Med High is known throughout the island. Offering quality English education, it provides an individual approach to each child, and additionally — after-school care, which is sometimes so lacking in Cyprus.
Location: Larnaca
Education levels: kindergarten, primary school, secondary school
Cost per year: kindergarten and preparatory class €4250–4750, primary school €5400–6400, secondary school €7000–8450

Choosing a private school for a child after moving to Cyprus is always a multifaceted task. You need to study the programs, reviews, and additional activities the institution can offer. The main thing is not to fixate on sharply different opinions, to visit schools in person, and not to refuse tours.
