The winter holidays are approaching, which means it’s time to think about the main festive symbol — the Christmas tree, bringing warmth and a magical atmosphere into the home. Waiting until the last minute is not the best idea: time will fly quickly, and in the holiday rush it will be much harder to find the perfect tree. Especially since official sales of coniferous trees in Cyprus will begin very soon.
Where and When Can You Buy a Real Christmas Tree in Cyprus?
According to the Department of Forests, official sales of real Christmas trees — including firs, pines, and even cypresses — will start on 26 November 2025 and continue until 19 December 2025. Sales points will operate on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 08:00 to 14:30. You can buy Christmas trees at the following locations:

A reminder: cutting, storing, or transporting a Christmas tree in Cyprus without the proper permit is considered a violation of the Forest Law of 2012 and may result in a fine of up to €5,000 and even imprisonment.
How Much Does a Real Christmas Tree Cost in Cyprus?
Prices for Christmas trees in Cyprus depend on their type and height. According to the Department of Forests, the cost reflects the complexity of cultivation and the characteristics of the wood.
- Black pine (common pine) — the most popular option
- Up to 1.5 m: ~€14
- Up to 2.5 m: €22–30
- Up to 5 m: up to €55
- Calabrian pine, with lighter needles and a dense crown
- Up to 1.5 m: €6–10
- Up to 3 m: ~€11
- Up to 5 m: ~€45
- Real fir trees, traditionally associated with Christmas, will be available in limited numbers
- Up to 2 m: fixed price of ~€60
It’s worth noting that the coniferous trees sold at forest stations are harvested during forest thinning operations. Therefore, they are not always perfectly straight or evenly shaped.
