A beautiful viewing platform has officially opened in the Pissouri area, not far from Melanda Beach.
The new attraction is located in one of the most picturesque corners of Limassol. Situated on a hill, the platform offers visitors a breathtaking view of Pissouri Bay's endless expanse, where the blue of the Mediterranean Sea meets a majestic natural panorama. The project was implemented with the support of the Limassol Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, as part of a strategy to promote Cyprus's natural attractions. Yorgos Pontikas, a student at Neapolis University Paphos's Faculty of Architecture, designed the architectural concept. His work was selected for its innovative and harmonious approach to the environment.
The opening ceremony was attended by local administrators, public figures, regional residents, and guests keenly interested in Limassol's new attraction.
Among them were: Panagiotis Mavroudis, chairman of the Pissouri community council; Solon Xenopoulos, dean of the school of architecture, engineering, and geo-environmental sciences; Eleni Hadziniolaou, architect, graduate of the national technical university of Athens (NTUA), and lecturer in architectural design and theory; Psati, lecturer in architectural design and theory; and Christina Kanellaki and Christina Pieridi, representatives of the Limassol tourism development and promotion company. In addition to its stunning views, the site is expected to attract nature lovers, photographers, and cultural tourists. This new location in Cyprus is part of a broader initiative to promote eco-friendly and cultural tourism.
This initiative aims to raise awareness of Pissouri as a key destination for travelers seeking authentic experiences. Visitors will be able to take impressive photos and experience the atmosphere of the Cypriot coast by discovering the region's natural and historical heritage.
