The municipality of Larnaca has chosen the winner of the tender for the restoration of the former police chief's residence.
The winner is C.Roushas Trading & Development Ltd.
On Wednesday, April 26, the city hall signed a contract with the contractor. According to municipal officials, the project will start in the coming days.
Recall that, after the building modernization, the Center for Creativity of Young and Vulnerable People will be placed here.
It is worth noting that the former residence of the police head is an architectural gem of Larnaca, having an area of 485 m2. The project will essentially be integrated into the new Salina Park, the creation of which, by the way, is being delayed due to the lack of interest from the contractors.
The restoration of the old residence of Larnaca police is one of three major projects that the municipality of the city is currently implementing.
The other two are the creation of the Mediterranean Artists park near the coastal Piale Pasha Avenue and the reconstruction of the Acropolis and Alki squares, as well as parts of Ermou, Constantinou Kalogera, Gladstonenos, Luka Akrita and Orfeos streets in the city center.
The cost of the project is estimated at 800 thousand euros. The implementation period will be about 12 months.
