Aphrodite Hills Resort has unveiled the fully renovated The Racket Club, a modern sports complex that marks another milestone in the large-scale modernisation programme of one of Cyprus' most prestigious resorts. The new facility combines sport, active living, leisure, and social interaction, offering guests and property owners even more opportunities to enjoy tennis and padel.
The official opening ceremony brought together club members, property owners, business partners, representatives of the international media, and VIP guests. The event took place beside the courts, where visitors were introduced to the upgraded sports facilities and the new Healthy Bar.
A New Stage in the Development of the Resort's Sports Facilities
The renovation of The Racket Club forms part of Aphrodite Hills Resort's long-term strategy to strengthen its position as one of the Mediterranean's leading sports and wellness destinations. Particular emphasis has been placed on upgrading the tennis and padel facilities. Following the renovation, the complex now features four refurbished clay tennis courts with new playing surfaces, five hard courts, and three fully reconstructed padel courts equipped with modern Mondo Turf surfaces, providing enhanced comfort, durability, and playing performance.
It is worth noting that Aphrodite Hills was the first resort in Cyprus to actively promote padel—one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. Today, the popularity of the game continues to grow rapidly, not only across the island but throughout Europe.

Sport, Comfort, and a Modern Lifestyle
The concept behind the new The Racket Club extends far beyond that of a traditional sports centre. It has been designed as a space that combines physical activity, relaxation, and social interaction. As part of the redevelopment, the changing rooms have been completely refurbished, a specialist retail shop for tennis and padel clothing and equipment has been added, and the Healthy Bar has opened as a new dining venue dedicated to healthy living.
Guests can enjoy nutritious meals and refreshing drinks created in line with modern wellness trends. The menu includes a variety of energy-boosting snacks, high-protein dishes, and balanced post-workout meals. During the opening event, visitors sampled the venue's signature dishes, including the popular Açaí Energy Bowl, which has already become one of the club's signature offerings.
A New Hub for the Resort's Sporting Community
Miguel Girbés, Director of Golf and Sports at Aphrodite Hills Resort, said that The Racket Club was designed to become the social and sporting heart of the resort. According to him, the new complex is intended to be much more than a training facility—it aims to serve as a complete lifestyle destination where residents and guests can enjoy sport, relaxation, and social activities in one place. This reflects a growing global trend, with modern sports clubs increasingly evolving into community hubs and venues for a wide range of events.
The reopening of The Racket Club forms part of a much broader investment programme currently underway at Aphrodite Hills Resort. At the same time, the Retreat Gym sports centre is being upgraded with the latest Technogym equipment. The resort's hotel lobby is also being renovated, while its dining offering continues to expand.
Particular attention is being paid to the resort's restaurant portfolio. Among the latest additions is Nusan, a contemporary Asian restaurant focusing on the culinary traditions of Japan and Southeast Asia. The resort's Italian restaurant is also undergoing renovation. These investments enable Aphrodite Hills to meet the growing expectations of international visitors, who increasingly seek destinations offering integrated sports, wellness, leisure, and premium dining experiences.
Golf Development and Innovative Technology
One of the resort's greatest assets remains its renowned golf course, designed by acclaimed architect Cabell B. Robinson. The course is widely regarded as one of the finest in the Eastern Mediterranean and regularly features among Europe's leading golfing destinations. Development of the golf academy also continues. It recently became the first facility in Cyprus to introduce a TrackMan Range training system, allowing golfers to analyse every shot using advanced digital technology and significantly improve their practice sessions. Such systems have already become standard at many of the world's top golf resorts, attracting both professional players and enthusiastic amateurs.
Located between the Mediterranean Sea and the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, Aphrodite Hills has long been recognised as one of Cyprus' premier luxury resorts. The destination is home to the PGA National Cyprus golf course, tennis and padel academies, a modern spa, cycling trails, an equestrian centre, and extensive facilities for family holidays.
Today, the resort continues to build its reputation around the concept of an active lifestyle, combining sport, wellness, healthy dining, and high-end leisure experiences.
