Cyprus President Nicos Christodoulides paid an official visit to Larnaca the other day.
The head of the island state came to the coastal city at the invitation of the local mayor Andreas Vyras.
The fact is that in Larnaca, the grand opening of two projects that have recently been commissioned. The speech is about the coastal street Piale Pasha and the new artists' park, which are neighboring each other.
Christodoulides praised the high level of work done and thanked Larnaca City Hall for the active development of the city.

Recall that the Piale Pasha is the first thing tourists who fly into Larnaca see.
Therefore, it was of utmost importance for the municipality to improve the aesthetic appearance of the coastal part of the city. The architectural design for this project was developed by ARMON SPACE ARCHITECTURAL E.P.E. and the realization of the grandiose idea was entrusted to the company ΚΕ.ΠΑ.ΜΑ.
The contractor had the task of renovating the windows, doors and balconies of the houses, as well as repairing and painting the facades of all the buildings on Piale Pasha Street. The key colors chosen were indigo, ochre and its shades, yellow, burgundy and terracotta. This color palette is intended to be the basis for the creation of Larnaca's color identity, which will be extended to the rest of the city and the region, to highlight its history.
As for the artists' park, it is located just north of Piale Pasha Street, which runs from Larnaca Fort along the sea. This project was realized by C. Roushas Trading & Development Ltd. Its tasks included the creation of a paved square, the installation of modern lighting and comfortable benches, as well as landscaping. The new public space is located on a plot of land previously owned by Turkish-Cypriots and now leased to Larnaca Municipality. The park has been named "Mesogios". One part of the park has been turned into a square, while the other part has been planted with trees and shrubs. It is expected to host regular concerts, theater performances and exhibitions of works by artists and sculptors.
