The characteristics of the teachers who will teach at the Pafos Innovation Institute are that they are people who have a theoretical and academic background but had their own companies or startups, which means that they have practical experience in what they teach.
In the meantime, due to the pandemic, the registrations have not started yet. However, even if the second pending master's degree is approved, they are expected to reach 100, depending on the number of departments that will be completed. When all the planned master's degrees are approved, the students can reach 400.
Regarding the building facilities, which have already been inaugurated, they do not include dormitories for students. However, the Pafos Innovation Institute is considering renting some spaces for this purpose, and there is a plan for building private dormitories.
In Pafos, Innovation Institute will present a sophisticated laboratory standard, the famous MIT university's standard workshop, with 3D printers and other useful tools that will facilitate student research.
It is noted that the Pafos Innovation Institute was erected on the site of the Municipality of Paphos, with sponsorships from individuals from Cyprus. At the same time, further investments, such as that of the laboratory, will be implemented with Israel or other foreign investors' support.
The Pafos Innovation Institute expects to attract local students and students from countries in the region (Greece, EU countries, Israel, and Arab countries) to develop innovation and research in the broader area.
It is noted that IDC Herzliya University is a vast and well-known private university, non-profit, which attracts many students from abroad.
