Head of Asset Management, Vlad Vylcha, at Atterbury Europe, has revealed new details about the Mall of Limassol project.
In particular, he stated that the shopping center will open its doors as early as 2027. Currently, the developer is doing everything possible to start construction by the end of 2024.
The Mall of Limassol will appear near the residential complex Vashiotis Kalande and the municipal kindergarten #27 in the Mesa Getonia neighborhood.
The building will consist of two floors, which will house 114 stores. The total built-up area will be 31,181 m2 and the total leasable area-27,025 m2.
According to the plan, the first floor of the shopping center will be made in a traditional design. It will unite two sections with the central part. AGORA will be the "face" of the mall with traditional elements of the old town of Limassol, allowing local traders to offer their specialized goods/services in an organized formal market. The first floor of the new mall will house the entire retail network, including a section of department stores, fashion, health and beauty stores, jewelry stores as well as grocery supermarkets. In addition, the first floor will offer a wide selection of indoor and outdoor restaurants. Retail stores on the first floor will cover all aspects including fashion, services, sports, and more.
The second floor of the Mall of Limassol will be dedicated to family entertainment. It will feature a state-of-the-art movie theater, a children's activity zone, and a fast food area. The open-air area will overlook the main road and the sea. For the convenience of visitors in the Mall of Limassol, a large underground parking lot is provided. A public park will be built next to the mall, which will be managed and maintained by Mall of Limassol for the benefit of the residents of the area.
A representative of Atterbury Europe said that the company sees great investment prospects in the construction of a shopping center in Limassol. He also noted that the project is a modern "village concept" that carefully balances luxury and everyday needs that are missing from the current shopping experience in Limassol, as luxury retail brands are usually limited to the main streets in the old town and along the coastal road, which stretches for a great distance. Finally, Vylcha emphasized that Mall of Limassol is designed to fill a gap in Limassol's retail experience.
