On Tuesday, April 4, the legendary Cypriot soft drink company KEAN announced the sale of its shares to the international brand bbf: (build better future).
Thus, 74 years old KEAN will pass into the hands of a new owner. All formalities will be observed within three months.
The change of ownership in KEAN is a sign of dynamic development, the company said.
It should be noted that bbf did not yet voiced plans for KEAN. It is known only that all staff of the company will keep their jobs, and the headquarters and the production unit will remain in Cyprus.

Recall that the Cyprus Soft Drinks Company was founded in 1949 in Limassol by chemist Takis Christodoulou.
Initially, the factory was called Cyprus Soft Drinks Company. It produced beverages, perfumes and cosmetics. In 1951 the company was renamed to KEAN.
KEAN's most popular product was juices with a high sugar content, which were in great demand among the locals. The Art Deco factory on the waterfront near Dasudi Park was built in 1956. Today it is one of the main attractions of the city.
In 1959, the plant began producing Pepsi-Cola. After the invasion, most of the fruit plantations were lost, but Christodoulou found new export opportunities in the Middle and Far East. In 1981, KEAN became the first company in Cyprus to use Tetra Pak cartons.
BBF: has a diverse portfolio of investments, primarily in real estate. The company, founded in 2007, owns 136 properties in Cyprus, Greece, Canada and Portugal.
