The Petrolina Group has chosen an architectural firm to develop a grandiose project called "Land of Tomorrow" in Larnaca.
As it became known on Wednesday, January 11, Foster + Partners, in cooperation with UDS Architects and with the direct coordination of Delfi Partners & Co., was entrusted with bringing ideas of Petrolina Group to life.
According to the release, the development of land on the seashore on the Larnaca-Dhekelia road, where oil tanks were previously located, will give impetus to the development of the city. And the area will become a place of attraction for residents of Cyprus and foreign investors.
The main features of the project will be: the predominance of greenery and open spaces, access to modern infrastructure, as well as communication with adjacent territories.
The Land of Tomorrow project will provide new and important investment opportunities in the areas of tourism, culture, entrepreneurship, innovation and the environment in Cyprus.
"Land of Tomorrow" is a project that will transform one of the largest areas of Larnaca, improving the image of not only the city, but also Cyprus at the international level. We are proud that the project is starting to take shape with the help of world renowned architecture firm Foster + Partners,” said Andreas Lefkaritis.
Development of the Larnaca seacoast is locked. There was an airport on one corner and fuel terminals on the other. After the removal of the oil tanks and the freeing up of the area, the city found a huge space for development.
We are honored to work with the Land of Tomorrow team to create a new, environmentally sensitive vision for the development of the northern part of the city. Undoubtedly, the master plan will set a new standard for a sustainable multifunctional coastal community and will be a catalyst for responsible modernization of Larnaca and the whole area. After visiting the project development area, we feel we share a common vision with the Petrolina team and are ready to do whatever it takes to give Larnaca the development it truly deserves,” said Ben Scott, Foster + Partners spokesperson.
