Geroskipou will spend 2.6 million euros on the reconstruction and improvement of the historical center.

He also noted that recently the municipality of Geroskipou announced a tender for the realization of the project. Applications will be accepted until February 9, then the staff of the mayor's office will summarize the results and announce the winner. The contractor who wins the tender will be able to start work immediately.
According to the idea, the historic center of Geroskipu will be completely modernized. The project also involves the reconstruction of public roads, the creation of sidewalks and new squares, the construction of a comfortable pedestrian path, the installation of benches and modern street lighting, landscaping, as well as landscaping near Kato Vrisi. In addition, two small parking lots for 14 and 11 cars will be created during the works.
Among other things, in the center of Paphos, the authorities intend to renovate the old hotel on Fellahoglu Street. One hundred years ago, it was the place where travelers who went through the city to other parts of the island stayed. The project will cost a budget of 125 thousand euros and will be completed in three months.
The works will be carried out in two phases to minimize inconvenience to residents and ensure the necessary traffic flow.
