"Investments for this grand project are expected to reach around € 1 billion. The additional estimated benefits for the economy of the place, in addition to the creation of new jobs, are expected to exceed € 120 million per year during the period of full growth ", stressed the Minister.

Let me remind you that this is a consortium of Eldeman Holding BV and Alexandrou Corporate Services Ltd, of Israeli and Cypriot interests, respectively. It is with great pleasure that I announce the signing of the Concession Agreement, as this marks the completion of the process and a new page for the city of Larnaca and Cyprus in general. The works are expected to start in January 2021 and develop into a period that reaches 15 years for the full development of this grandiose project ".
Mr. Karousos pointed out that "the investments concern, among others, the expansion of the port, the expansion, and upgrade of the marina, the development of land which includes the construction of spaces for social and cultural activities, a hospital and educational centers, as well as the creation green spaces, sidewalks, and sidewalks.
