As part of a large-scale project to improve the coastal area of the Kissonerga district, Paphos has begun the construction of an observation deck and amphitheater.
This was announced by the local municipality on Monday, February 5.
According to the release, the new public space for recreation will be located in a location that offers a magnificent view of the surrounding area and the beach of Kissonerga. It is worth noting that the architectural design of the amphitheater prioritized the aesthetics and quality of the space, harmonious integration with the environment, and universal access to the space. Next to the amphitheater will be equipped with a small parking lot and palm trees will be planted around it.
The observation deck and amphitheater is another small project that will contribute to the overall modernization of the Kissonerga area," said Yorgos Stylianou, the leader of the Kissonerga community.

Stylianou also mentioned that there are several projects currently underway in the area that will undoubtedly add to Kissonergi's attractiveness from a tourism point of view.
Among the most significant ones, he highlighted the sea view observation deck dedicated to Lock Your Love. As part of this project, the fencing for the platform on the seaside was decided to be in the form of 12 semicircles. Each of them is dedicated to a certain month of the year. Walking along the sea, Paphos residents and guests will not only be able to enjoy the breathtaking view but also leave a lock on the fence as a symbol of their strong feelings. The length of the fence is about 70 meters. The authorities of Kissonergi count on the fact that the lovers who hung their castle on the observation deck will want to return to this place again.
Moreover, Stylianou recalled the pedestrian path along the community's seashore, with a total length of 2 kilometers, which connects the beaches of Potima and Muttes. Stylianou emphasized that benches, garbage cans, and modern lighting have been installed along it. At the same time, the municipality is constantly trying to improve the quality of this section.
