A number of important infrastructure projects are planned for 2025 in Cyprus. Some of them are already in an active stage of realisation and some are just about to be launched.
This was announced the other day by the Ministry of Interior in the context of the budget discussions for the relevant period.
The list includes 26 projects, the total budget of which is estimated at almost 1 billion euros. Among the 10 most ambitious can be highlighted:
- the new Cyprus Museum - €143.925m;
- the KtiZo programme - €130m;
- the construction of a building for the court in Nicosia - €119 million;
- the construction of a building for the State Institute of General Chemistry - €101.2 million;
- equipping the Astromeritis-Evrihou intercity motorway - €88.627 million;
- construction of the Paphos-Polis Chrysochous motorway - €86.9 million;
- modernisation of the Nicosia-Palehori Agros road - €78.459 million;
- construction of a new prison building - €35.1 million;
- modernisation of Argyroupoleos, Hippocratus and Tseri avenues in Lakatamia and Strovolos - €30.7 million;
- construction of a building for the Land Registry Department - €22.3 million.
The realisation of these projects is expected to help not only to significantly improve the living standards of the citizens, but also to contribute to the development of the economy in the country.
According to Cyprus Finance Minister Makis Keravnos, all the projects included in the list are of paramount importance. At the same time, he noted that infrastructure projects, which are financed by the Recovery Fund, were not included in the list.
