The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) has launched an open tender for the renovation of its substation in Troodos. The estimated value of the project is €110,000 excluding VAT.
Bids for tender No. 26/2026 will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026. The bids are scheduled to be opened the same day at 12:30 p.m. The contractor will be selected based on the lowest price. The final cost of the work will be determined once the tender process is completed and the contract is signed.
What Will Be Renovated at the CyBC Substation?
The project provides for a comprehensive renovation of the substation building and nearby auxiliary structures. The work will cover interior spaces, utility systems, and the roof. During the first stage, the contractor will remove old exterior windows and doors, flooring, tiles, and sanitary fixtures. A total of 119 m2 of flooring will be removed. Wooden interior doors must be carefully dismantled, repaired, and reinstalled.
The next stage will include masonry work, installation of interior partitions, plastering, wall cladding, and painting. Carpentry work is also included in the project. Particular attention will be paid to utility systems and protecting the building from moisture and temperature fluctuations. The scope of work includes:
- repairs to the water supply and sewer systems;
- thermal insulation of the roof;
- installation of bituminous waterproofing;
- installation of ventilation valves.
After the renovation is completed, the contractor will be required to carry out the necessary finishing work, clean the premises, and prepare the site for handover.

When Will the Renovation Begin and How Long Will It Take?
The contract will have a duration of six months. The start date will depend on the results of the tender, selection of the contractor, and signing of the contract. The €110,000 figure is an estimated project value rather than the final contract price. The winning bidder will be selected based on the cost of the offer. Tender documents and participation requirements have been published on Cyprus’s government eProcurement platform.
