The Larnaca District Self-Government Organization (EOA) has concluded an agreement with Cyprus Post that significantly simplifies the payment of utility services. From March 26, all residents of Larnaca will be able to pay bills for water supply, sewerage, waste collection, and other services directly at post offices. It should be noted that there are 11 such offices in the city and 51 across the country. This is especially convenient for people who prefer to pay bills in cash or do not use online services.
The agreement was signed by Cyprus Post Director Pavlos Pavlidis and head of Larnaca EOA Angelos Hadjihcharalambous. Both emphasized the importance of using existing infrastructure for the convenience of residents and improving the efficiency of public services.

How the new service works
Payment is possible both in cash and by bank card. At the same time, no commission is charged. Thanks to this step, citizens will be able to save time and avoid the need to visit separate payment offices for utilities. Authorities emphasize that the innovation is aimed at increasing the accessibility of public services and simplifying everyday payments.
Similar initiatives have already been implemented in other cities on the island. For example, the Cyprus Electricity Authority has concluded a similar agreement with the Limassol EOA administration, allowing residents to pay electricity bills at post offices. Experts note that such measures are especially in demand among elderly people and residents of small towns, where digital services are not always available.
What this means for residents
Now residents of Larnaca can easily and quickly pay bills for all major utility services without extra fees and queues. The service does not require registration in online banking, making it accessible to a wide audience. In addition, the use of the postal network allows residents of other cities in Cyprus to pay bills without personally visiting utility service offices.
