While the housing boom continues in Limassol, Nicosia and Larnaca, Paphos Mayor Fedonas Fedonos is actively building green areas in his city.
By the way, over the past two years, a real revolution has taken place in Paphos as 11 new parks have been created. In total, the city now has 16 recreation areas equipped with playgrounds, and 480 green areas, the area of which ranges from 70 to several thousand m2.
However, Fedonas does not even think to stop as he plans to open at least 20 more parks.
So at present in Paphos, work is being completed on the creation of a new Park of Colors. It will become the largest in the city and one of the largest in the whole of Cyprus.
The cost of the new park, the area of which will be 32 thousand m2, is estimated at 3,715,180 euros. The project implementation period is 9 months.
According to the release, the Park of Colours includes:
- a cafe
- skate park
- tennis court
- Botanical Garden
- climbing wall, 3.6 meters high
- basketball court
- children playground
- small soccer field
- several small squares
- open air exhibition space
- sanitary zone
- parking for 83 cars, including for people with disabilities
Special attention in the park will be given to the skateboard. Young people have repeatedly addressed such a request to the mayor of the city, and finally their wishes will be satisfied.

In addition, the other day the municipality of the city finally agreed on the final plans for the construction of two linear parks on the eastern and western borders of the municipality of Paphos.
The parks, which are estimated at 7 million euros, are expected to cover an area of more than 12 km.
The Eastern Linear Park will stretch from the final roundabout on the Limassol-Paphos Expressway to Limnara in Kato Paphos. The Northwest Park will be located from Agios Neophytos High School and head west, from the Mouttalos area to Diplarkatzia, on the border of the municipality with Chloraka.
Ιt is also planned to create playgrounds, places for sports, open two cafeterias, and equip places for walking dogs. Together with the coastal path, both parks will allow residents and visitors of the city to walk and enjoy the sea, nature and magnificent views. In order to keep all the created green zones in order, the municipality cooperates with public organizations, foundations and educational institutions.

In total, there are about 100 city parks in Cyprus.
The most famous are: the municipal park of Limassol, the Akropolis park in Strovolos, the park in the area of Agii Omologites in Nicosia.
