Cyprus is a wonderful island beloved by locals and many tourists. There are plenty of interesting and beautiful spots on Cyprus where you can enjoy the sea, nature, breathtaking views, and take stunning photos. However, according to social media, particularly Instagram, there are still the most popular places for snapshots.
According to a new study by the reputable travel portal Bounce, Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa ranks 7th in the world among the most popular beaches on Instagram.
Interestingly, there are currently 235,033 posts with the hashtag #nissibeach on this social network.
At the top of the ranking is Bondi Beach in Sydney, followed by the Brazilian Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro, and in third place is Pattaya Beach in Bangkok, Thailand.
Nissi Beach is one of the favorite beaches on the island for both Cypriots and foreign tourists.
The beach is one of the most prominent landmarks in Ayia Napa, and it's vibrant both during the day and at night. Nissi Beach is divided into two parts: Nissi Bay and Nissi Beach. Nissi Bay is a lively beach popular among the younger crowd, while Nissi Beach is a bit quieter and more suitable for families with children.
The name "Nissi" translates from Greek as "island." It originates from a small island located 20 meters from the coastline, accessible by a sandy strip. The beach offers all the comforts for a pleasant stay: sunbeds and umbrellas, showers and changing cabins, and toilets. On the left side of the beach, next to Nissi Beach Resort, there's a pedestrian path. Walking along this path between palm trees to Nissi Street, you can find restaurants and cafes to grab a snack or have a full meal.
