An American medical centre has announced its intention to expand its presence in Cyprus.
It was announced on Thursday, February 6, that construction will soon begin on a new state-of-the-art medical centre in the Strovolos district of Nicosia.
The Department of Environmental Protection in Cyprus recently issued the relevant permit to the American Gastroenterology Centre Ltd. The cost of the project is estimated at €2.51 million. It will take 18 months to complete once work begins.
According to the press release, a modern building will be constructed to meet the needs of the new medical centre, consisting of a basement and two ground floors. The basement will be equipped with 23 parking spaces, 1 disabled toilet, 2 staff toilets, 3 storage rooms, a consumables storage room, an endoscopy room, 2 lifts and a control room.
The ground floor of the clinic will have 20 parking spaces, 1 staff toilet and 1 visitor toilet, reception area, staff canteen, patient food preparation and distribution area, patient examination and treatment area, wards, 2 lifts.
The first floor will have: 2 endoscopy rooms, an endoscope cleaning room, a nurses' station, a manager's office, 2 3-bed wards, patient changing rooms, 2 visitor toilets, a cleaning area and 2 lifts.
The new clinic will be open from seven in the morning to seven in the evening with a staff of 7. The medical facility will serve 50-60 people a day.
It is recalled that the American Medical Centre announced earlier its intention to open a new hospital in Limassol, which will claim the title of the best in the city.
