Large hotel developments in all provinces of Cyprus are planned to be ready in the coming years, which will enhance the quality of our hotels, as well as the capacity in beds.
According to the KPMG Cyprus Hospitality Report, the largest developments expected in the coming years are nine, with four involving Limassol, two Paphos, and one each Nicosia, Larnaca, and the free province of Famagusta.
Atlantica Mare Village Paphos
Atlantica Mare Village Paphos, Atlantica Hotels & Resorts' new five-star hotel with gardens, views, and facilities for wedding receptions, is already operational. The 36-room hotel, located eight kilometers from the tourist Paphos, includes three outdoor pools, an indoor pool, a children's pool, a gym, a tennis court, restaurants, and a bar.
Radisson Beach Resort in Larnaca
According to plans, the Radisson Beach Resort in Larnaca, the first Beach Resort of the Radisson Hotel Group in the world, which will have 202 rooms, will be ready in September. The hotel, which has been operating for the last 30 years, is located on a sandy blue flag beach, a few kilometers outside the city center. Radisson Larnaca Beach Resort, owned by Quality Group, will operate under the management of Sunnyseeker Hotels, one of the leading hotel management companies in Cyprus.
Cap St. Georges Beach Club Resort in Paphos
Cap St. Georges Beach Club Resort is expected to open in 2021. It is a luxury seaside resort with over 150 villas on the west coast of Cyprus. The villas are contemporary in style and have been designed with timeless elegance. The gentle slope to the sea offers every home an amazing view. The owners have access to the Clubhouse and all its facilities that will provide five star hotel services.
City of Dreams in Limassol
The City of Dreams, Casino Resort is the first and only licensed multi-themed casino-resort in Cyprus, will be ready. The casino-resort will be located in western Limassol and will be built according to the highest standards of sustainability to adapt harmoniously to the natural environment of the surrounding area. It will have a 16-storey 5-star hotel with 500 rooms and suites, as well as conference and exhibition spaces with a total area of 9,600 m2. The play area will cover 7,500 m2 and will include more than 100 tables and 1,000 state-of-the-art gaming machines.
NYX Hotel Nicosia and NYX Hotel Limassol
The NYX Hotel Nicosia and NYX Hotel Limassol, owned by the Israeli Fattal group, will also open in 2021. The first will have a total of 198 rooms and is being erected on the site where the former branch of Laiki Bank on Makariou Avenue used to be housed, while the second will be located on Christodoulou Hatzipavlou Street and will have 165 rooms.
Opus one in Nicosia
The Opus one will make its debut in 2022, which among other things will have 97 rooms, wellness and fitness facilities, a children's playroom, a shop, restaurants, a hydromassage pool and a bar.
Sofitel Limassol Hotel and Residences by Oxley Planetvision Properties in Limassol
The Sofitel Limassol Hotel and Residences by Oxley Planetvision Properties will be operational in the same year. The 246-room resort will be located in a coastal area on the eastern edge of Limassol, next to the Park Lane Hotel and will consist of two buildings with branded apartments. The facilities of the 4-star hotel will include four food and beverage shops, a swimming pool, the So Fit gym, So Spa, the Club Millesime Lounge, a business center and various event venues. Residents can enjoy a la carte services such as housekeeping, room service, laundry and concierge services provided by Sofitel Hotel.
Grand Hyatt Limassol in Limassol
Finally, in 2025, the Grand Hyatt Limassol will be ready, a luxury resort of 300 rooms that will be developed on a Blue Flag beach east of Limassol.
It will include a beach club with a spa and gym, one indoor and two outdoor pools. In addition, there will be an entertainment area, with five restaurants and bars. Grand Hyatt Limassol will be the mainstay of Zaria Resort, a luxury mixed-use development that will include residential apartments and private villas.
