From 2008 to 2024, the annual increase in the number of sales contracts here was 2.58%, which is more than five times higher than the increase on the island as a whole. These figures confirm the region's stability and attractiveness, even in a volatile economic environment.
Significant growth is also evident in the labour market. From 2015 to 2024, Limassol's workforce grew by an average of 4% annually, surpassing the national average. Growth in the IT sector is particularly impressive at 18.2% per year (compared to 12.1% for Cyprus as a whole), followed by construction and real estate at 18.1%, and science and technical services at 6.1%.
