Demand for office space in Cyprus remains strong. In an effort to meet this demand, local developers are actively building commercial properties.
For example, a new office tower called Lighthouse will soon be under construction in Limassol.
The modern luxury commercial complex will be built in the Tsiflikoudia neighbourhood, at the junction of Alexandria and Aktaya streets, between the old and new ports, on the site of a former industrial zone, not far from the sea.
According to the press release, the building will be 81 metres high (19 storeys).
The first six floors, together with the basement, will be used as a car park. The remaining 13 floors will be used for offices. Some of the floors will also have common areas, a café and a gym. Photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof of the skyscraper to generate electricity from renewable sources. The area around the building will be landscaped. Only endemic plants will be used in the landscaping.
The main objective of the new project is to meet part of the labour and commercial needs of the wider Limassol community. The construction of the Lighthouse Ocean Building is expected to create new jobs and further strengthen the region by enhancing the socio-economic character of the area.
The lighthouse is expected to become a new landmark for the city. The building has been designed with energy efficiency and environmental protection in mind. The landmark project will combine architectural innovation, serve as a model of sustainable development and set new standards for Limassol and the region as a whole.
