The management of the Larnaca Tennis Club has announced its intention to build new courts on the premises of the complex, as well as to renovate all the premises of the building.
An application has already been submitted to the Cyprus Environment Ministry for consideration.
According to the plan, the Sports Club building will be completely refurbished. Once renovated, the club will have a modern gym, comfortable changing rooms, a luxurious rooftop swimming pool, conference rooms and a doctor's surgery. The club will also increase the number of tennis courts (by at least two). The project will take about two years to complete once all the necessary documents have been obtained.
The Larnaca Tennis Club was founded in 1958 in the centre of the coastal town.
Initially, the club members trained on two clay courts. Today the club has eight courts with different surfaces. There is a children's tennis academy, regular training of the best tennis players in Cyprus, national competitions, junior and veteran tournaments.
