In the village of Kokkinotrimithia (a suburb of Nicosia), the construction of the NEO PLAZA shopping and entertainment center is nearing completion.
As it became known, the shopping center will be ready in September 2021.
At the moment, all major work on the project has been completed. The workers are creating parking and green areas for recreation, as well as finishing the interior of the building.
By the way, the park was designed with references to the traditional architecture of the place, combined with modern aesthetics, functionality, climatic and environmental parameters, with a vital element of its development in an open and safe environment.
It should be noted that the initial opening of NEO PLAZA was scheduled for March 2021. However, the coronavirus has made certain adjustments to the plans of the developer Canva Properties Ltd - the dates have been shifted several times.
The total project budget is estimated at €45 million euros.
Neo Plaza is expected to be the first outlet village on the island.
The grandiose project will open its doors to guests and residents of the island just 12 km from the Nicosia Mall in Nicosia, 30 minutes by car from the city center.
A discount settlement will grow on an area of 55,000 m2, which will include:
- about 45 shops and boutiques, local and global brands, offering tempting discounts of up to 70% on goods on an ongoing basis
- numerous cafes and restaurants indoors and outdoors, surrounded by green spaces and fountains
- an amusement park on the territory of 2000 m2 for children and adults
- in the center of the village, on the main square, a large stage will appear, which will host various concerts, as well as charity and children's events
- a giant projector screen that will broadcast sports tournaments and other key events on the island and around the world
- 1,100 free parking spaces with wheelchair access.
In addition, a big Volta children's park will appear in the discount village. The entertainment area for the youngest inhabitants of the island will consist of a 600 m2 closed space, as well as an open area of 2000 m2. The park will be designed for children from 3 to 12 years old.
As planned, the project should attract not only numerous tourists, but also discount hunters from all over the island.
The establishment of an outlet in Cyprus will create about 150-200 new jobs. Currently, 90% of the area in Neo Plaza has been leased.
