The new skyscraper “Radisson Blu The Capital” in Nicosia
The residents of the 36-storey building “Radisson Blu the Capital” will be built in Palouriotissa and will be almost 150 meters with eight different volumes.
According to the study submitted by the owner company, the building will have 222 hotel rooms and 65 residential units. It will also have 4 underground levels. The first level of the basement houses the hotel's support uses, the EAC substation, and a number of parking spaces, while the remaining 3 basement levels are used mainly for parking spaces and for some mechanical spaces.
The building will be constructed within two sections on Salaminos Avenue in a Commercial Zone.
Especially for parking, the study of the consultants of the owner company states that the requirements for the parking spaces have been calculated based on the area and type of development uses and amount to 277 parking spaces.
However, in accordance with an existing plan for such developments, they may be limited to 80% of the permitted ones, whereas the total required the number of parking spaces in 222.
The study states that despite the allowable reduction that can be applied in the calculation of parking spaces, the project can allocate the required 222 parking spaces and an additional 65 parking spaces.
The completion time of the proposed project is estimated at 24 months.
The total area of the pieces that will host the project is 3408 m2. Only the quantities of excavation materials are estimated by the project’s researches at 46000 m2.
The building will have a swimming pool with a water volume of 135 cubic meters.
