On Friday 4th April the Land Department released new data on property sales in Cyprus in March 2025.
According to the department, the number of transactions increased by 19% to 1,491 in the third month of the new year, compared to 1,257 in March 2024.
In turn, between January and March 2025, 4,137 property sales contracts were signed in Cyprus, compared to 3,597 in the same period in 2024, an increase of 15%.
The positive trend in March was recorded in all Cypriot cities except Paphos and the vacant areas of Famagusta. During the month under review, 477 units were realised in Limassol (+11%), compared to 430 in March 2024. In the first three months of 2025, 1,295 properties were sold in Limassol compared to 1,123 in the corresponding three months of 2024, an increase of 15%.
Nicosia came second with 341 contracts (+18%) compared to 289 a year earlier. In January-March 2025, 932 sales contracts were signed in the capital compared to 813 in the same period last year. The growth was at 15%.
In third place was Larnaca, where 316 properties were sold in March 2025 compared to 261 in March last year, an increase of 31%. As for the first three months of 2025, an increase of 26% was recorded, with 910 properties sold in the city, compared to 723 for the same period in 2024.
Paphos is next. In this Cypriot city, 294 units were sold in March 2025 (+32%), compared to 222 in the corresponding month of 2024. In January-March, 829 residential transactions were completed in Paphos, compared to 774 in the first three months of 2024. This represents an increase of 7%.
Finally, in the free areas of Famagusta, 63 properties were sold in March 2025 compared to 55 in March last year (+15%), while in the first three months of the year property sales increased by 4% to 171 units compared to 164 in the same quarter of 2024.
