On Thursday, July 23, there were two serious industrial accidents.
The fatal was the injury of the 54-year-old subcontractor who fell from a height of 4.5 meters at a construction site while performing inspection work in a building in Limassol. According to the police, this is Andreas Konstantinou.
The new fatal work accident happed shortly before 10 in the morning when the unfortunate 54-year-old Konstantinou, who was inspecting a construction site, lost his balance and fell from a height of 4.5 m into the gap between the excavation and the wall of the basement.
Members of the police and the Labor Inspection Office rushed to the scene, for examinations in order to determine the conditions under which the fatal work accident took place.
It seems that the unfortunate man lost his balance. He seems mohave fallen while trying to cross the corridor, due to the small width of 40 points, he must lost his balance, this shows the signs and he fell into the gap between the excavation and the wall of the underground space of the construction site, -reported the Inspector of the Labor Inspection Department of Cyprus.

The second accident happened about 11:30 on the Development site in Limassol, at the same day. The unfortunate 20-year-old worker fell into the gap from a height of about 23 m, resulting in his fatal injury.
The Germasogeia Police Station in cooperation with the Labor Inspection Office continues the examinations.
