The Cyprus Department of Environment has approved a renovation project for the 4-star Golden Coast Hotel in Protaras.
According to the release, the hotel management intends to demolish two old buildings on the territory of the hotel complex and erect a new high-rise condo in their place.
The first building called Gold Coast will have 7 floors (238 apartments in total). The second building will be named Artemis. It will be a 6-story high-rise building with 103 apartments.
Among other things, the project involves the creation of a new underground private car park and the renovation of the existing tennis court.
It is expected that work on the modernization of the hotel complex should be carried out exclusively in the winter period (from November to March), during the period when the hotel is closed.
The project completion is scheduled for March 2022.
It is worth noting that the hotel is located within the administrative boundaries of the municipality of Protaras, just 35 minutes from Larnaca Airport, in a tourist area, next to a beautiful sandy beach, and surrounded on three sides by crystal clear waters.

Now the hotel has 172 rooms. There is also a conference room, gym, jacuzzi, 3 restaurants and 3 bars.
