In Nicosia, the construction of a new residential complex for the students of Frederick University is nearing completion.
The main objective of the project is to provide safe and comfortable accommodation for the institution's students.
The new buildings are located on Platonos Street in the Pallouriotissa neighbourhood, in close proximity to the main building of Frederick University and the Faculty of Architectural Design. The project was designed by C. Kounnis Architecture + Design. The firm's staff has succeeded in creating a complex that combines modern aesthetics, functionality and comfort.
From September, students will have access to 63 separate, fully equipped studios, a fully equipped gym, a recreation and study area and a stunning green space. For the convenience of tenants, a 24-hour reception area will be located on the ground floor, offering a full range of support and security services. The building will be highly energy efficient, with bioclimatic design elements and renewable energy sources providing more than 50 per cent of its energy needs.
According to the university, the rent for studios in the new residence will start at 150 euros per week (this price includes electricity, water and internet costs). All Frederick University students are eligible to apply for accommodation, but priority will be given to full-time first-year students.

It should be noted that Frederick University continues to actively upgrade its facilities, buildings and logistics in both Nicosia and Limassol. In the Cypriot capital, new research and teaching laboratories for courses in Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy and Nursing have recently been established, and classrooms, canteen, library and other facilities have been renovated.
In Limassol, the first phase of the university's building expansion was completed last year and includes new laboratories, classrooms specially designed to support modern teaching methods, an amphitheatre for events and a modern and comfortable library.
