Grand Hyatt Limassol will open its doors in 2025 as part of Hyatt's expansion in Europe
Allea Group announced today the conclusion of a management agreement between Anolia Holdings Limited, a member of Allea Group, and a company affiliated with Hyatt for the operation of the first Hyatt hotel in Cyprus, the Grand Hyatt Limassol. The luxury resort of three hundred rooms is expected to open its doors in 2025, and marks the dynamics of Hyatt's expansion into popular European tourist destinations.
The resort will be developed on a Blue Flag beach east of the cosmopolitan city of Limassol and all rooms will have sea views. The Grand Hyatt Limassol will be a destination in itself, as it will include an impressive beach club of 4,000 sq.m. with spa and gym, one indoor and two outdoor pools. In addition, an entertainment area of 1,400 sq.m. will be created, with five restaurants and bars. Grand Hyatt Limassol will be the most basic part of Zaria Resort, a luxury mixed use development, which will include residential apartments and private villas with a total area of 80,000 sq.m.
"We are very pleased to partner with Anolia Holdings Limited, through which we will bring the brand, Grand Hyatt, to Cyprus, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe," Takuya Aoyama, Vice President Development of Hyatt, told Europe and Africa. "The Grand Hyatt Limassol is an important part of our growth strategy in Europe, as we continue to explore opportunities for expansion in the Mediterranean."
The hotel, just a thirty minute drive from Larnaca International Airport, will bring all the luxury, glamor and stunning design that characterizes the international brand of Grand Hyatt. Arriving at the hotel, guests will pass in front of an imposing green space of 14,000 sq.m. which will include gardens and waterfronts against the backdrop of the irresistible view of the Mediterranean. The resort, which will adopt elements of Cypriot culture, will offer unique and exciting experiences for all visitors.
"We are excited to work with Hyatt on this project," said Alexander Iakovlev, Managing Director of Anolia Holdings. "The Grand Hyatt brand is synonymous with luxury and the unique experiences it offers to visitors, maintaining the authenticity and character of the destination itself. In addition, since Limassol is now considered the business center of Cyprus, the hotel will attract visitors for both tourism and business travelers, while at the same time it will be able to host conferences and other events. We believe that Grand Hyatt Limassol will be the heart of Zaria Resort ".
The announcement of the opening of the Grand Hyatt Limassol is a continuation of a dynamic expansion of Hyatt in Europe over the last twelve months. In particular, nine new hotels, including the Great Scotland Yard, Hyatt Centric Dublin, Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere, Hyatt Regency Chantilly and others, opened in the area in 2019, while four more are expected to open this year in Barcelona, Manchester and Frankfurt. The expansion in Cyprus is a significant addition to the company's existing and emerging portfolio in Malta, Athens, Thessaloniki and Izmir, as the country attracts visitors from key Hyatt markets such as the United Kingdom, Russia, Greece, Germany and the Middle East.
