Cyprus has launched an updated online platform to assist taxpayers. Developed by the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, the digital service is part of the global transition to the Tax For All (TFA) system, which is a single digital tax space.
A new support page will be available on the official portal, gov.cy, starting Monday, July 21. The page will bring together useful guides, answers to frequently asked questions, and instructions on the main steps to take in the TFA system. The solution is designed to simplify tax matters for individuals and companies alike.
What is Tax For All?
TFA is the Cypriot government's large-scale project aimed at modernizing the tax system. The project's goal is to make tax reporting understandable, transparent, and accessible to all users. The project covers citizens and businesses alike, offering a single interface for all tax operations.
Digital assistant — 24/7
One of the project's key innovations is the updated digital assistant, which is now available 24/7. With its help, users can:
- Register in the TFA system
- Make changes to the tax register
- Submit a VAT return and request a refund.
- Create a taxpayer account;
- Submit tax exemption applications, objections, and corrections;
- Obtain information on tax regimes, including special categories (e.g., for farmers).
- Find out how to file payroll reports (PAYE).
Easy access to information
The new platform brings together all the necessary materials in one place, simplifying navigation through the digital taxation system. Users no longer need to search for documents on different pages because all information is organized and easily accessible.
The transition to digital solutions makes tax administration in Cyprus more transparent, faster, and more convenient. Thanks to these innovations, filing returns, processing refunds, and other procedures now take just a few minutes.
