According to the Cyprus Statistical Service, the Industrial Turnover Index reached 193.4 units in November 2023 (2015 base = 100), an increase of 2.1% compared to November 2022.
By the way, this is a new historical record of the Index for November and the highest level of the Index in recent months (since August 2019).
From January through November 2023, the Index recorded a 6.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
Separate data are provided by the service regarding the production of industrial materials: the index for November 2023 reached 190.5 units, up 3.4%, compared to November 2022.
The mining and quarrying (12.4%) and water supply and materials recycling (10%) sectors also saw increases compared to November 2022. In contrast, the power supply sector showed a decrease of 5.4%.

It should be noted that the manufacturing sector also recorded growth in almost all economic activities.
The index in the woodworking industry increased by 21.1%, in the production of basic metals and metal products - by 19.1%, in the production of rubber and plastic products - by 3.7%, in the production of furniture, repair of machinery and equipment - by 2.3%, as well as in the production of electronic and optical products and electrical equipment - by 2%.
According to the Statistical Service, the only activity in which there was a decrease was the production of petroleum and chemical products and pharmaceuticals (-0.2%).
