According to the Cyprus Statistical Service, the Industrial Turnover Index reached 193.7 units in October 2023 (2015 base = 100), an increase of 9.1% compared to last October.
By the way, this is a new historical record of the Index for June and the highest level of the Index in recent months (since August 2019).
Between January and October 2023, the Index recorded a 6.7% increase compared to the same period last year.
Separate data is provided by the service regarding the production of industrial materials: the index for October 2023 reached 191.1 units, up 14.1%, compared to October 2022.
The mining and quarrying (23.1%), water supply and material utilization (13.4%) sectors also registered growth compared to October 2022. In contrast, the Electricity Supply sector showed a decrease of 9.6%.

It should be noted that the manufacturing sector also recorded growth in almost all types of economic activity.
The index in the woodworking industry increased by 21.1%, in the production of basic metals and metal products - by 19.1%, in the production of rubber and plastic products - by 3.7%, in the production of furniture, repair of machinery and equipment - by 2.3%, as well as in the production of electronic and optical products and electrical equipment - by 2%.
According to the Statistical Service, the only activity in which there was a decrease was the production of petroleum and chemical products and pharmaceuticals (-0.2%).
