Cyprus has a new digital tool to track public contracts in real time.
The platform has been developed by the General Treasury. Tenders can now be followed by anyone on the website of the Public Procurement Authority (Αρμόδιας Αρχής Δημόσιων Συμβάσεων).
It should be noted that the new system covers tender data from 2019 to the present. At the same time, the data will be updated on a monthly basis. With the new service, interested parties can:
- Obtain information on the number of tenders and the amount of contracts concluded for the selected period.
- Analyse procurements by category, procedure and selection criteria.
- View data on public purchasers and contractors.
- Analyse the level of competition between bidders.
- Track tenders as they approach their closing date.
In addition, the service provides tools for data analysis and custom reporting.
This initiative aims to increase the transparency and efficiency of the public procurement system. It makes the process more competitive, innovative and easier for businesses and citizens to monitor. The launch of the online system is only the first step in the General Treasury's ambitious strategy. The authorities promise to further develop the platform, introduce new technologies and increase the transparency of the tendering process.
