The Cyprus Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry has officially announced an extension to the deadline for submitting bids in the tender to find a strategic investor for the development and management of the Pentakomo Science and Technology Park. The deadline has been extended from 12 September 2025 to 12 November 2025. All other terms and conditions of the tender remain unchanged.
Project of national importance
The construction and launch of the Science and Technology Park in Pentakomo is a key element of Cyprus's strategy for developing an innovative economy. The facility is expected to attract startups, research centres and international technology companies, as well as creating hundreds of new jobs.
The tender, registered under the number ΥΕΕΒ/ΥΒΤ/02/2025 and officially titled 'Development and Operation of a Science and Technology Park (STP)', is being conducted through a competitive selection process with the possibility of negotiations. This opens the way to attracting not only local, but also foreign investors who are willing to contribute to Cyprus's long-term development.
Innovation and investment in the future
According to government plans, the Science and Technology Park in Pentakomo will become a platform for researching renewable energy, digital technologies, biotechnology and artificial intelligence. The project is also expected to attract European funding and be integrated into EU programmes supporting innovation.
The Ministry emphasises that the postponement of the application deadline is due to high interest from potential investors who have requested additional time to prepare their proposals.
Tender documents will be accepted exclusively through the e-procurement system. For further information, please call +357 22 867 233 or email ltheodorou@meci.gov.cy.
