The opening of the City of Dreams Mediterranean in Limassol is just months away.
The casino resort will open its doors in the summer of 2023.
According to the developer, the works are on schedule, without any delays.
Owned by a consortium of Melco International Development Ltd and The Cyprus Phassouri (Zakaki) Limited, the casino resort is being built near the New Port in Limassol (between the Akrotiri Salt Lake and the My Mall).
The casino will be part of a luxury 500 room hotel. It will have 136 gambling tables and 1,200 machines. The resort will include a 9,600 m2 exhibition complex, a 1,500-seat concert hall, a 4,000 m2 spa, as well as restaurants and entertainment clubs.
According to Melco, reservations at the hotel are already open.
Guests can choose from several categories of luxury rooms. Among them are:
- Premier Rooms, a standard 42 m2 room that can accommodate three adults or two adults and one child.
- Grand Rooms offer two options: Grand Scenic View with up to 52 m2 of indoor space and a balcony of up to 23 m2 and Grand Mountain View with up to 52 m2 of indoor space and a balcony of up to 7 m2. Rooms can accommodate up to three adults or two adults and one child.
- Sky Suites of up to 165 m2 which can accommodate three adults or two adults and one child.
- Panoramic Suites of 140 m2 which can accommodate three adults or two adults and one child.
- The 140 m2 Penthouse Suite has a large private pool with panoramic sea views. It can accommodate three adults or two adults and one child.
- The Presidential Suite is located on the top floor of the building and is 425 m2 on two levels. The suite includes two large bedrooms, elegant marble bathrooms, a fitness room and a private swimming pool.
Recall that the City of Dreams Mediterranean is the largest investment project ever undertaken in Cyprus. Its cost is estimated at more than 650 million euros.
According to the calculations of the Government of Cyprus, the City of Dreams Mediterranean will bring to the country's treasury up to 700 million euros each year. And that is 4% of the entire GDP of the Republic of Cyprus. In addition, City of Dreams Mediterranean will attract to the island an additional 300 thousand tourists a year, which will help solve the problem of seasonality of tourism.
