Global Finance, one of the world’s leading financial magazines, named Bank of Cyprus the recipient of 11 prestigious awards as part of the World’s Best Digital Bank Awards 2025. This recognition highlights the bank’s exceptional achievements in digital innovation, customer service, and financial technology.
Two Key Awards — for Innovation and Digital Transformation
Among the distinctions were two major awards for the Western Europe region.
The first, “Best in Transformation – Corporate & Institutional”, was granted for the bank’s leading role in the digital transformation of the Cypriot economy through its Jinius ecosystem, which unites B2B and B2C solutions on a single platform.
The second, “Best in Social Media Marketing and Services”, recognized the creative and systematic work of the bank’s marketing team, which continues to strengthen customer engagement across digital channels.
In addition, Bank of Cyprus received the title of “Best Digital Bank”, adding to its earlier distinctions as “Best Bank in Cyprus” and “Best Investment Bank in Cyprus” by Global Finance. These awards reflect the bank’s ongoing commitment to providing cutting-edge digital products, an enhanced user experience, and world-class service.
Digital Products Transforming the Banking Industry
Over the past 18 months, Bank of Cyprus has introduced a range of innovative digital services that have set new standards in banking.
Among them is Digital Mortgage, an online solution allowing customers to apply for and receive loan approvals entirely digitally.
Another standout innovation is Fleksy, a buy now, pay later (BNPL) solution offering flexible repayment terms and an automated approval process.
For younger users, the Joey app was launched — a safe digital platform for children aged 9 to 17, allowing them to manage pocket money responsibly while learning financial literacy under parental supervision.
The Jinius Marketplace ecosystem continues to grow rapidly, now featuring over 270 sellers and approximately 500,000 products across all categories. The B2C segment alone includes 232 retailers and 355,000 products, providing a unified digital environment for both shopping and business activity.
Growth in Digital Metrics and Record Customer Engagement
The bank’s continuous investment in digital solutions is yielding tangible results.
In the first half of 2025, the number of unique digital users reached 230,000, while digital sales grew significantly.
For example, the volume of online loans increased by 24%, from €135 million to €167 million in the first six months of the year — a clear indication of customer trust and the success of the bank’s online strategy.
