On Friday 10 May, the Cypriot Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry announced the end of the application period for the Solar for All programme.
According to the ministry, a total of 5.3 thousand residents of the island state expressed their desire to participate in the government scheme.
The ministry said that the evaluation of applications will begin in the near future and thanked Cypriots for their interest in the project. It is recalled that the aim of the programme is to enable all household consumers in the island state to install a solar energy system with the financial support of the state. It is part of a larger scheme.
Under the "Solar Panels for All" project, Cypriots will be able to significantly reduce their electricity bills.
By the way, according to the idea, it is possible to receive 250 euros for each kilowatt of capacity of the purchased photovoltaic system. The maximum amount of the subsidy will be 1,000 euros. Also in this category, it will be possible to receive an additional subsidy of up to 4 thousand euros (1 thousand euros for each kilowatt), provided that the amount received is paid gradually after the solar panels are installed (150 euros every two months).
