On Monday, February 1, Paphos Mayor Phedon Phedonos announced that two new linear parks should appear in the city in the near future.
Phedonos presented the digital version of the projects and called their construction an important event for the city.
The parks are expected to be erected in the east and northwest of Cyprus cultural capital. The Eastern Linear Park will be placed from the final roundabout on the Limassol-Paphos highway to Kato Paphos' Limnara. The Northwest Park will be from Agios Neophytos High School and from the Mouttalos area to Diplarkatzia, on the border of the municipality with Chloraka.

The total length of the new parks will be 12 km.
It is planned to create playgrounds along parks, places for sports, to open two cafeterias, and to equip places for walking dogs.
Together with the coastal path, both parks will allow city residents and visitors to walk and enjoy the sea, nature and magnificent views.
According to preliminary data, the construction of new parks will cost 7 million euros. The money will be received from the municipality of Paphos.
