Israel's Fattal Hotel Group is investing huge sums of money, running into tens of millions of euros, in developing Cyprus' tourism infrastructure.
The group recently acquired the Elias Latsi Holiday Village Resort, which it plans to completely renovate and rename the Leonardo Club Family Resort.
The hotel is expected to become an attractive destination for tourists holidaying in Paphos, offering a wide range of modern facilities and entertainment for families with children. The total cost of the project is estimated at €55 million. Construction will begin once all the necessary permits have been obtained and will take approximately 18 months.
It is worth noting that the Fattal Hotel Group has recently submitted an updated development plan to the Cyprus Environmental Protection Department, which includes the construction of 18 buildings. Of these: 11 blocks will be for tourist accommodation, 5 for public use, 1 as a control point and another 1 as a sports centre with underground facilities. In total, the new tourist complex will have 240 rooms and will be able to accommodate 480 people. 11 rooms will be reserved for people with disabilities.
The development will have a total built-up area of 6,477.55m2 and 7,750m2 of living space.
The hotel will have a restaurant, pool bar, snack bar and ice cream parlour. The hotel will also have retail and office space, a gym, a games area, storage facilities and 12 swimming pools (including a children's pool and a spa pool). For the convenience of staff and guests, there will also be a large car park for 215 cars (including 9 for the disabled), 12 bicycle stands and parking for taxis and buses. The project will be energy class A.
Within a radius of one kilometre from the new hotel there are tourist and residential complexes, and just 1 km away there is a magnificent beach. The construction of Leonardo Club Latsi is expected to enrich the economic potential of the region, create additional jobs, provide a high level of service to the population through the project's infrastructure and facilities, and enhance the image of the area in terms of quality tourism.
