Green trends are becoming increasingly popular in Cyprus. And in all areas of life. Including the tourism sector. Projects aimed at an eco-friendly lifestyle are springing up all over the island.
On Monday the 23rd of September, the Department of Environmental Protection of Cyprus granted permission to Natura Escape Cy Ltd for the construction of a new eco-hotel called Natura Escape Cy.
According to a release from the developer, it will be built in the village of Pano Akurdaleia. The hotel complex will include 12 eco-houses built entirely from natural materials, a health centre, a sauna, a botanical garden with a waterfall, a children's art area, a bird and star watching area, a car park and a central biological sewage treatment plant.
All residences will be on one level with a mezzanine. The ground floor will include a living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom, and the mezzanine will include a loft for storage.
The exterior of the ground floor will include an outdoor terrace with infrastructure for a jacuzzi and a landscaped garden. The houses will be equipped with air conditioning, heating, lighting, water supply and irrigation systems and electrical installations.
The project will consist of 7,000 m2 of private residential land and 14,000 m2 of agricultural land (under long-term lease). The hotel will take 18 months to build. Work will commence in the near future.
