Alpha Bank received two international awards at the World’s Best Digital Bank Awards 2026, held annually by the international financial magazine Global Finance. The bank’s Cyprus division won in two categories: Best Mobile Banking App and Best Integrated Consumer Banking Site.
The Best Mobile Banking App award recognises Alpha 360 Mobile, one of the key digital banking tools available to Alpha Bank Cyprus customers. Through the app, users can access everyday banking transactions and services. The second award, Best Integrated Consumer Banking Site, recognises the quality and comprehensive nature of the bank’s online services for individual customers.
Thus, the jury evaluated not just a single feature, but two of the bank’s main digital customer interaction channels — its mobile app and online platform.

Miltos Michaelas, CEO of Alpha Bank Cyprus, said the two international awards confirm the bank’s consistent investment in the development of digital services and improvement of the customer experience. According to him, technology has practical value when it makes everyday banking transactions simpler, faster and more secure. He also noted that the recognition of Alpha 360 Mobile and the bank’s broader digital ecosystem reflects the work of the team and provides further motivation to continue developing services in line with customer needs.
Such awards are becoming increasingly important for the banking sector. Global Finance notes that digital technologies, automation, artificial intelligence and data analytics are becoming key areas of development in the financial industry. At the same time, customer expectations regarding speed, personalisation and convenience in digital banking continue to grow.
How Global Finance selects the winners
Winners of the World’s Best Digital Bank Awards are assessed across several areas. Key criteria include the bank’s strategy for attracting and serving digital customers, the successful implementation and adoption of digital services, growth in the number of users, the range of available products and the tangible benefits delivered by digital initiatives. The design, usability and functionality of web and mobile channels are also evaluated. Winners in individual categories are selected based on the effectiveness and quality of the relevant digital products and services.
Applications are evaluated with the participation of Infosys, the official partner of the awards. The final decision is made by the editorial team of Global Finance. In 2026, only banks that submitted applications took part in the competition, while awards were presented in those countries, regions and categories where participants had entered.
The official World’s Best Digital Bank & AI in Finance Awards 2026 ceremony will take place on 13 October 2026 at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. During the event, Global Finance will also recognise the winners of the AI in Finance awards and other prizes in the field of financial innovation. For Alpha Bank Cyprus, the two awards represent international recognition of the development of digital banking in the Cypriot market, both through mobile services and online customer banking.
