The Department of Environment of Cyprus has granted permission for the construction of a 9-storey building by Pillar Enterprises Ltd.
The high-rise will be adjacent to the Palm Beach Hotel in Larnaca and will become part of a large hotel complex. According to the release, it will feature 56 luxury apartments.
It is worth noting that renovations have recently started at Palm Beach. The work is expected to continue until the end of 2024. The goal of the Israeli investor is to open the hotel in the 2025 tourist season.
After the renovation, Palm Beach will regain its former glory and contribute to the tourism sector of Oroklini.
In addition to the modernization of the main building and the construction of the 9-storey high-rise, Pillar Enterprises Ltd intends to:
- Establish a spacious underground parking facility with 214 parking spaces.
- Renovate 40 bungalows, a large lagoon-shaped pool, and common areas.
- Open a new high-quality spa center and a themed open-air restaurant in the hotel garden.
- Construct a 4-storey apartment building with 28 luxurious condominium-style apartments.
The project is estimated to cost over 10 million euros.

In more detail, in the context of modernizing and improving the hotel infrastructure and services, the project includes the following changes:
Zone 1: Bungalows
- Renovation of the existing 40 bungalows, the large lagoon-shaped pool, and common areas.
- Demolition of the existing dining hall (Block C).
- Construction of a new high-quality spa center.
Zone 2: Extension
- Construction of a themed open-air restaurant in the hotel garden.
Zone 3: Residence Tower
- Construction of a 9-storey building named Residence Tower.
- The tower will include 56 apartments, as well as common and auxiliary areas.
- The construction of Residence Tower requires the demolition of a part of the hotel's northern wing.
Zone 4: Transformation
- Expansion of the existing restaurant and reconstruction of external areas.
Zone 5: Condominium Block
- Construction of a 4-storey building.
- The condominium block will include 28 apartments, common areas, and a restaurant on the ground floor.
- The existing building, which houses the indoor pool and squash court, will be demolished.
Zone 6: Earthworks and Underground Parking
- Construction of a new underground parking facility with 214 spaces within the existing territory and the restoration of tennis courts.
The project is expected to be implemented over a period of 6 years, with the work carried out in three stages.
